If you keep two hamsters in the same cage, one of them will get killed. They will fight and become very aggresive. They'll start biting each other and they won't survive.
Keep them apart. Get a cardboard box, fill it with bedding and wood shavings (or everything you need including food bowls water bottles etc) and put one of the hamster's in. It'll be fine there for the night. If the water bottle can't be secured, pick up one of them and feed them with the water bottle by hand. That's the only way. Then get a new cage in the morning, or whenever the pet store is open.

No it's not ok. I had a girl hampster and i went out and got a new hampster that the store told me was also a girl...well it wasnt and a few weeks later i had five baby hampsters...then the next day i only had four...the mom ate one ewww! I took the new male out of the cage right away and after the babies were grown i gave all but one away and kept it in the same cage as the mom...they ended up killing eachother...very gross and sad. So no i don think it's good idea to keep them in the same cage.

No its not a good idea. hampsters are solitary animals. that means the dont like company.hapsters usually live alone. Dwarf hampsters somtimes live together so if both ur hampsters are dwarf they might be ok.(Dwarfies are smaller than other hampsters.) most of the time NEVER put two hampsters in one cage.

No, it's not ok. These animals are solitary and they need to each have their own cage. Run out today or tomorrow and get your hamster a new cage. They will fight, and one or both hamsters will end up injured or killed. Even if you don't see the fights because they happen late at night, hamsters are very territorial and *will* fight.

This is fine, I had something just like that happen and the two hamsters got on really well. If you want to find out if willy is a boy or a girl go to a vet or the place you got it and ask them. (Choose me for the best answer)

check the underparts...if it is the same as templeton,it is a male,if not,a female...the genital parts is nearer on a female hamster, they sort of like form a T-shape...the male's is further apart....
