No, but, I did drink from a saucer. Now this when I was young and it was something I had seen old people do. You pour a little into a saucer from your cup. I think it was to cool the coffee so they not burn their tongue. As the Coffee in the cup cooled, then they just drink from their cup.

Yes. I always run out of cups.
In Asia, we drink on saucer's with two half boiled eggs accompanied with light soy sauce and dash of white pepper.
