What is it with rich kid's these days? Go out and buy the fastest car possable to die in. I reccomend a 1999 sentra learn how to drive first before going at speeds in excess of 155 mph. Do you think you can afford insurance on a high powered sports car? But if you have to the 350Z is a better bargan at under 40 thousand. The Skyline GTR is going to be twice that expensive next year. Remember X-BOX training does not play well in the real world. Get signed up for performance driver training. THE DRIVERS EDGE DOT COM. You know over 7,500 friends your age will die this year in automobile accidents.

He needs to get a 240SX to drive for at least 2 years, before getting a 350Z let alone a GTR. Just getting his license he won't be able to handle a car with either one of those two's capabilities. The first time he stabs the throttle he will destroy the car or even worse kill himself. The 240SX is a good choice because they are sporty but not fast, and would be a good learning experience.

Good grief hes only 16 and already getting a new car? I didn't have a new car till I was at least in my 20s and had already moved out and had a job and was able to get it for myself. But, honestly I think he should go with a used car only because hes a new driver would be a shame to scratch up a brand new car that Mommy and Daddy got for him. He needs to get something out of the local trader something reliable of course but cheap. Then when hes out of school and has a job of his own then maybe he could get a new car. Although chances are that Mommy and Daddy will still be making the payments and insurance for him. LOL

Neither.
I will tell you why.
Is this his first vehicle?
If yes, you do not want a new vehicle because he is inexperienced driver and probably will have a few fender benders. He is better off buying something cheap for about six months to a year. Then when he is a little bit more experienced, THEN get something nice.

neither, a teen and a sports are is not a good combo. He needs to learn to drive on a much slower car, I think it take 1-2 years before you can become a good driver.

He should get a Nissan GT-R, even though it costs around $85,000.
