on a A5,will the trigger spring matter when its on or off of the tombstone latch?

my spring fell off of the tombstone latch when i took my gun apart and i didnt put it back on when it shot off.

You had better hunt that spring down and replace it. The manufacturer thought that it was necessary or it wouldn't have been there. Missing parts have led to missing parts of the shooter.
