You can request them either by phone or in writing from the Internal Revenue Service for free however it will only contain federal withholding information not state. W-2's requested from the Social Security Administration would have state information but they will charge you for each form requested I believe. The IRS now has your 2006 wage and income statements available.

If you don't have a copy, you can contact your employer(s) from that time and ask for a copy. You can get a copy from the IRS also, but it may be too soon to get copies of the 2006 W-2's from them.

you should have a copy in your records from your last two tax filings.
