To be a star, first of all, you have to WANT to be the star.
1. You need the drive to not be better than someone, but to be better than EVERYONE.
2. You can't go easy on any single person in a game or even in practice, because you need to give every effort your ALL.
3. No pain, no game. Take all the pain of diving for the ball or slamming it on someone's face if they're trying to block you. Even if you mess up with trying to get to the ball, giving your best effort always makes you the best.
4. Practice. You can try harder than everyone else, but you need to have the skills. Practice so that you are better than everyone on your team.
5. Sportsmanship. Every star player needs to be encouraging to the whole team, and not to be cocky about yourself or to the other team.
6. Show your best always, never half what you do. The coach is always watching you, and if you do everything your best and better than all of the other players, they will notice that.

That's how you'll be the star player.

You have to have the ENTIRE PACKAGE. Not only do you have to have the skills, you have to apply them when it counts, and have the muscle and power behind you.

Attitude is BIG. People like happy people. People will look up to you as a leader if you take charge and stay positive. Calling the plays, the balls, that kind of thing pays off big.

Many think you have to be tall to be a star player, and many are, but you don't have to be. If you go out there and give 110%, it will show. Don't ever give up, and dont let the ball hit the ground unless you do!!!

it takes alot of practice and work
you also have to be able to jump and hit
But dont worry, volleyball is AWSOME!
