I saw a lot of questions and answers, that give the impression the person who made them were very religious. But i see around me everyday people that say they love God, and yet do a lot of harm to other people, on purpose and with no regrets. Do you really believe in God and live by the moral rules or is it just an appearence you like to have? Can you say that, by calling atheists "idiots" and saying your religion is the only true one, you show your love to God?
I'm not a very religious person and not necesarily proud of this, but i think the way we act in our society and the way we act with the people that are in needs is how we show if we believe in God or not.
What do you see around you, and how do you see yourself?

I am a man of God and will always be. I see evil around me all the time and it saddens me, the horrible things people do to each other. The people that say that they love God and do evil don't really love God but use it as an easy out. The life of a christian is very hard, but God gave us free will and how we chose to use it is up to us. I have never called an atheists an idiot, I except all people for who they are

Good Question ...I have often wondered how others thoughts relate to mine.

First of all:
I am not a church following mongrel either but that doesn't mean my religious beliefs are not strong. I make peace with the Lord before I go to sleep and am thankful before meals. I try and treat my foes and enemies with respect and try to live a good natured life. Of course I do fall off the horse a number of times but I ask for forgiveness and get back on the horse. I am not to keen on what goes around me as it seems there is way to much hate in the world as it is. I stay focused on what I believe in and hope my family and friends follow suit.

Well , you see sometimes even Christians(religous people)
can be rude, and its terrible. The truth is that pride gets to alot
of people ,because it's human nature to sometimes go overboard as far as having something that others don't have.Do I think it's right? No.(The reason why they critizize,
is because they follow certain rules, and the people who don't
do this stuff get crittized)But God dosen't critizize . I'm not saying he won't dicipline , but it's for your own good.So if you
want to have a relationship with God ,and have wisdom(from
Him),Jesus died for you .Just say come in,and to save me from my sin( you see God wants to get rid of you sins to help you so you don't become a hypacrit like others have),unlike alot of people who want a perfect church instead of asking for forgiveness and truly meaning, out loud or under your breath. And if you truly believe it ,you will have a true relationship with Him.And read the bible for help also.Because Wel'l go to heaven when God raptures us,keep
the realationsship going.

It is right my dear.. to pray and to speak thus that they love God , does not entail or point to the fact that it is actually the love of God.
I believe that everything and every being around ,in this world is a representation of God in one way or the other, and hence one should be a good human being by deeds and not by lip service only. This is the basic essence of every religion in this world and to adhere to this path is what is known as loving God. It is my belief.

Your question is well intended, however, I do dispute that "the way we act in our society and the way we act with the people that are in needs is how we show if we believe in God or not." One can, in fact, be kind to those in need, even with no belief in God.

It is so sweet to say, God is love and I love God. But how much do we act upon. God loves those who are good. God love those who are forgiving and tolerant, who are patient and loves others. If we don't have the qualities that God will love us back, our saying of 'Love of God or God is love' remain meaningless.

Lovers of God/ Jehovah show it by doing his will.
Spreading hatred shows that the person doing it does NOT love God/Jehovah and HE knows it.
However, even the hater can be redeemed in the final minutes of his/her life by reaching out with the Holy name and asking forgiveness.....................
Me? I am a practicing Jehovah's Witness!

Jesus Christ said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." He also said, "As you do it unto the least of these, you do it unto me." Just because people claimi to be relilgious doesn't mean they are Christians. Christians are those who act like Christ. Check out www.3abn.org for some good stuff.
