Are you going to install it into a car with out Navigation or repair a existing car Navi unit? There are Lot's more than meets the eye to those units besides the display screens DVD player and dash board joystick. The cars entire Audio Visual switch is different as is the wiring harness behind the dashboard. There are good Garmin, Magellan and other units that you can move from car to car. Even GPS cell phones. Good luck factory preinstalled system parts are very expensive. Just a DVD player sold at the dealership is likely to cost $2,000 dollars add LCD screen Necessary other parts and you see that $600 to $1,600 option when new was not such a bad deal.
