are things better left unsaid? a lie you don't wanna tell cause it hurts so much when you think about it, but if you do tell it's gonna change everything. is it best to keep it inside? is it best not to say nothing at all since everything is going perfect? is it wrong for me to want "her/him" to stay. i just don't want "her/him" to walk away.

Anyone who feels insulted by the truth has only himself to blame.

The truth usually does leak out and people will generally either resent you for concealing it from them or claim it is a lie and cling to the beliefs they already held.

The answer to whether you should tell the truth or remain silent depends on which of those two responses you will get.

If the person can be convinced to accept the truth, that is best. If they cannot, telling it is futile and you may occasionally be better off with silence. However, that is a route I rarely take.

The truth does hurt you have what I call a Soul shock
Once you come to terms with the truth and work to understand why it did effect you
Then you will gain personal growth

Or just let your ego take over and dismiss it like water off a ducks back LOL

Lying is never a good idea. Tell the truth, get it off your conscience and let the other person deal with it. He/she has the right to the truth, and you can't control his/her reaction, because it is also his/her right to choose a course of action based on this information.

That is part of truth too, the part about asking them to stay, but being able to discuss a problem is very important.

It hurts more after it comes out, and it will come out, and shows that you or whoever wasn't honest.

There is no such thing as TRUTH

What you are talking about is POLTICALLY CORRECTNESS, which happens to be a very modern, liberal, popular concept.

It's also known as keeping YOUR OPINIONS to yourself.
