It was actually thrown away because after a day under studio lights etc it wasn't thought to be safe to eat.

What a fantastic ad it is though!

i'm not sure, but i don't think it's a great advertisement for skoda really, it's really cleverly done, very impressive...BUT would u like to buy a car that looks as though it's made of sponge and would fall apart as soon as u sat in it? most car ad's try to promote the fact they're strong, sturdy, fast, and powerful, the ad kinda made skoda look like they should make theme cakes not cars...

It was bought by the wicked witch from the the Hansel and Gretel story, she parked it out side her house made of cake and candy and Hansel and Gretel stole it and went for a joyride and ended up crashing into a tree,
before the police had a chance to take finger prints the birds came down from the trees and ate the car.
so looks like the little Ned's Hansel and Gretel got away with it yet again.

Because the car had taken quite a few days to complete under very bright lights no one was able to eat any of it. Instead, some of the more resiliant parts (stuff made of marzipan etc.) like the wing mirrors were removed and vacuum sealed by the creators to preserve them and the rest was taken to a recyling plant where it was turned into compost. Info thanks to Jo Whiley on Radio 1...

It got made into compost at a local recycling plant as it would of been a health risk to eat as it spent so many hours under the studio lights. The only bits that were kept & presereved were the chocolate speedo, the marzipan wing mirrors & the wafer engine.

Rats got in overnight and demolished it before anyone got a chance to taste it.

Well as it took so long to make and sponge doesn't last very long, they would have just thrown it away. Apparantly it cost around £80k to make that!
