I think people are just a little weirded out by the man who got the visions and wrote a new bible or book.I do not hate you or have animosity for Mormons.I just only believe in Christ,I do believe in prophets and all the gifts.I'm sorry I do not know the mans name that had the visions etc,and i do not want to be judge of his experience with God.I just think Mormons have always been a target of this animosity, because they follow his teachings and book.Be blessed and loved

Are you sure it isn't your leaders telling you there is this animosity when in fact, there is very little?

But, like Hitler taught, tell a lie often enough, and people will believe it.

Regardless, all Christian cults make the same declaration you do; that they believe in Christ. Even Christ said the deceivers would so declare:

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

There was Christianity before there were Mormons.

Have you ever bothered to talk to ex-Mormons? Or do you shun them and hate them?

Careful you don't end up being guilty of what you are accusing others of.

I'm not sure why and I think that it's a sad situation when in a free country you can't worship Jesus the way you choose. I attend a Foursquare Church and we recieve a lot of ridicule for the way we worship so my friend I say to you keep on praising Jesus the way you do and come judgement day the ones who have hated you and me will stand before God and pay for their sins. Have a blessed day.Vic

Yes you can indeed worship as you choose in America. But Mormons have a habit of sending their young out to "sell" your religion to others. Nothing wrong with that mind you....it is the "American Way"...sales.
Your faith does take a beating for the "polygamy" thing too. And the habit of your congregants of giving the church a "percentage" of any income made by them.
It sends up "red flags" to many folks. Cults are famous for that.
Personally....I almost envy anyone who believes in anything larger than their own world. Never apologize for what you believe.

i am not criticizing but i think some of the major differences might be that....your God is confined to a body and is only the God of this world...our God as the Bible teaches is not confined to a body, and is the supreme God of the entire universe. Your heaven has different levels which you enter depending on your amount of faith and the works (baptism, marriage, etc.) you accomplish during your human lifetime. You teach that Native Americans are the descendants of the Hebrews...the Bible says nothing about this. While you may follow Christ, these beliefs are very different from what Christianity teaches.

I do not hate the Mormons.I disagree with their teachings. They teach false doctrine. And they bible warns us against that. Not that they are not good people - but being good doesn't get no one to Heaven.
It's only Thur the blood of Jesus Christ that gets us to Heaven. You can worship as you please. People get upset tho when you spread lies about the gospel and turn Scriptures into lies. That's why when it comes to Jesus and his teachings go by what he said and not some self proclaimed prophet. He gave us Paul and John. And that's all we need

Nobody's tearing down any churches that I've heard of, and you do have the right to worship as you like.

But everybody else has the right to think it's weird.

Nobody is stopping you.

Your evangelization methods prey on the Biblicallly ignorant. I had two slip out that there were humans in heaven before Adam and Eve and when I wouldn't go any further until they showed me, they exploded.

No your church is based in the writings of Joseph Smith who created a book and sold it to others as the word of "his" god.
