I think people put too much thought into it. You can look in the past and see drivers who will win six races in a year, and then the next year they can't get one to save their life. Look at Jr, Newman, Biffle. They all struggled after being dominant cars. Also, look at the tracks where Truex is running. Winning at Dover, the same place Jr won at. These crew chiefs keep notes so that set up could have had to Jr emphasis in it. You can also look at a couple of years ago when Jimmie Johnson was doing so good and Gordon was struggling. They were from the same team but it doesn't mean they ran the same set up. All teams struggle. And I don't even think Jr is struggling right now. He's had some good finishes. Just keep watching.

DEI has nothing to gain by sabotaging the number 8 car. They're looking to pick up both sponsors and drivers, so performing well on the track is their top priority. They've got a much better chance of landing a driver like Kyle Busch and getting a good sponsor by WINNING, regardless of who is behind the wheel.

Not sabotaging they are simply putting their resources into the #1 car. The thing all you Jr fans need to realize is, HE SUCKS. The guy's been the man at his team for years and just can't cut it. His dad is a legend, that is the extent of his driving greatness.

I have been wondering this myself. Truex may be a good driver but Dale is better. I wouldnt be surprised at all if Teresa is telling the men in the mechanics shop to make sure Dales car is running just a little off for the rest of the season!!!!!! Hell she has already screwed him once so why not again???????

Maybe its because Truex has stepped things up a little bit. Hes running a lot better he almost had back to back wins with finishing third last week,

More likely the driver of #8 is sabotaging the car. How many races will Kyle win in the #8 next year?

It's possible that Teresa is trying something.
It's also possible that it's because Tony Eury Jr. isn't with him yet.
But Teresa needs Jr. to stay in the top 35 for points.
That way things will work out for her next year.
