My parents think that skateboarding makes you shorter because you crouch and your spinal cord gets messed up. For some reason, I noticed how I actually did look shorter after skateboarding. Is it true? THey also think basketball and swimming makes you taller... I also noticed how I got taller after swimming and sleeping. Tehey''re asian. THat explains everythin. So does it?

Sorry but skateboarding does make you shorter, what I recommend is that you do stretching exercises after skateboarding, like trying to reach for the ceiling, It should counteract the skateboarding problem you have.

Swimming and sleeping can both make you an inch or so taller for a little while, because laying down flat or being in water both relieve pressure on your spine. When you stand up all day, your spine compresses due to gravity. However, that's barely noticeable. If you think you look shorter after skateboarding, it's either your posture or your imagination, so stand up straight and look again!

No activity makes you shorter or taller, your height is a result of genetics (but if you are malnourished, you won't grow to full potential). They are probably just observing that most pro basketball players and swimmers are tall people, so doing those things must make you tall. It's the reverse - people who are already tall do those things well because height lends them an advantage in those sports. As for skateboarding, again, it's just posture making them look short.

Boards generally tend to free their pop after a even as. Especially if they are waterlogged. I check out to not skate a board that is older than a 12 months. Try to have a board for train and a board for the parks.
