Here is a great site I have just discovered. You just point to a note on the staff and it gives you the location of the note on the guitar fingerboard. (scroll down the page)

That's not a note; it's a chord. A slash means you add a bass note to the regular chord. So in this case you play a B chord with an A# in the bass. One way would be X1444X.
