A guy, claiming to be a "muslim who hates Christians" and goes by the name "." signs on today, asks 10+ questions that are all of the same abusive kind - why are Christians permitted to live, why are Christians liars, why are Christians so dumb - and atheist after atheist answers his questions, acting as if they are an actual attempt at debate. I don't care about this silly nut - what I would like to know is what these atheists who respond are thinking when they contribute to his rantings? Do you think he's worth dialoguing with? Is this your idea of intelligent debate? Is this guy a worthy representative of the anti-Christian group? If this guy is typical of your group, how sad. If he isn't, then why do you act as if what he says has merit? Are you so eager to attack Christians you'll side with a man like this, just so long as he hurls abuse at your opponents?

The same things happen on the other side of the fence, too.
I don't like encouraging anyone who spends their time asking questions like the ones you've described, and I don't understand why peope feel the need to demonize positions different from their own.

Christians are just as responsible for fueling the fire as atheists. Actually, I've seen more questions bashing atheists than questions bashing Christianity. Usually the attacks on Christianity come in the form of answers to questions that first attack atheism. But either way, idiots among both the Christians and Atheists are at fault. And unfortunately, this is the internet. You're going to have this controversial bashing no matter what, because on the internet people don't know you and can't see you, so it is easy to get away with something like this, and some people do it simply out of boredom and looking for attention.

I know where you're coming from, man, but you are generalizing a tad. There are many of us atheists who can recognize people like the one you described and don't respond to his obvious nonconstructive intent. The youngsters who want to vent about Christianity probably haven't yet developed the depth of perception that a true atheist has.

AS a Christian; perhaps we bring it on ourselves in this country presently by not obeying Christ commands. Christ words have been added to,and in some cases taken away from, resulting division in Christianity currently in USA.

Why do the Christians do the same exact thing?
Same coin, opposite sides.

I'm willing to bet that that person had their regular account deleted and now they are attacking the very people who made it happen.
It's not what I would do, but I'm pretty sure it happens.

Sounds like you do care about this silly nut to me, why don't you answer his questions and stop whining when others do.
