Did you stretch before and after the run? Sometimes when you work a muscle too hard it begins to convulse and sieze up, much like a Charlie Horse, but sometimes without the pain. When I work out and do not sufficiently stretch it happens at times. Be sure to drink enough fluids too!
Hope this helps!

Maybe you're salt or potassium depleted. Salt tablets used to be the preferred method of dealing with that, but recent studies have suggested that eating a banana yields better results without the sodium danger. Electrolyte replenishing drinks like Gatorade are also helpful at alleviating this problem (or avoiding it altogether if taken in advance and during training activities).

Build up of lactic acid around the muscle caused by extreme exertion, possibly dehydration.
It should have gone away on its own, but next time trying hydrating a little better before your run.

relax I'm sure your muscles are just reacting to stretching and the blood flow. That's a good thing.
