A true saint wouldn't even recognize himself as a saint :-)

A true saint is one who clings on to nothing of this world and the next, free of desire and emancipated...

A true saint is free of anger and delusion, a victor of his inner evils (ignorance) and outer enemies (by turning them to friends). He is one who has an immense sense of love and speaks of nothing but the Truth.

When they have only one purpose and that is to serve the Supreme Lord and the pure disciplic succession (the previous Acaryas) they do not change anything they just repeat the pure knowledge handed down from the previous saints. They have no personal motive accept only to serve God and spread His Glories. They love everyone because they see that everyone is part and parcel of God. Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita "The humble sage sees with equal vision, a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elepphant, a dog and a dog-eater." He is seeing the Super Soul within the body and does not discriminate on what body the soul is in.

The mark of a true Christian (saint) is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

By observing their life style, there preachings and their conduct closely, you May be able to say he is leading a saintly life or not.

a saint does not bother about the quality of food, shelter and he is always lost in meditation,

he says few words and they carry huge meanings. His words carry power and he will be able to guide you properly.

he leads am exemplary life.he is simple and does not like publicity. He will never say ''I HAVE SEEN GOD .''

If one does it ,he IS NOT A SAINT.

We become a firm believer in God when we meet him, our faith in God become more firm when we hear his speach and we become more firm in our faith in the Hereafter (Life after death). Such a person is a True Saint.
