One is the worship, or search for, Owl Bhuna. It was founded in 1979 in the back yard of a picture framing workshop in South London.
Owl Bhuna was sometimes to be seen in a horse chestnut tree, but was very elusive, now you see him, now you don't. You couldn't even be sure he was an Owl, or even a he.
At that time the religion had 3 adherents, and some camp followers, there was never a time when all three saw Owl Bhuna, together; but each claimed to have had a clear apparition whilst alone, and to have felt an uplift of spirits.
His purpose was mysterious, and I don't know if the religion is still extant.

It would be the traditional tribal religion of some isolated small tribe. We would not even know the name of it, most likely, because the tribe may very well have only limited contact with the world outside their village.

Additionally, there are a lot of people out there with very personal religions, known only to themselves or perhaps their closest family. Or "A Small Circle of Friends," as Pete Seeger put it.

Obscure does not mean bad; that said, where God penetrates all, yet transcends all through love, that is the most obscure of all religions.
