First both son will go together, then one will drop there and other will come back. Now father (200 Pounds) will go alone and when he will reach there, the son on that side will bring the boat and will pick the other (100 Pounds) brother and will cross the river.

very very simple....i hope you give those 10 points to me and make my day...well both the sons 100 pounds each take the boat to the other side. one son gets off n the other brings it back to his father. father alone takes it across the river and gets off. son brings back the boat for his brother and they both return back together since their wait would be 200 together.
there if only life could be so easy as ur riddle..we would all spend our days back n forth the river, tht wud be fun.

I'm too late to answer this question, but how about doing everybody a favor and PICK the winner! So many people are offering 10 points to the first correct answer and put it vote so it can lay out there in a tie forever!
Thank You Very Much!
BTW, Picking an answer is worth 3 points,

First the 2 100 pound sons will go.
Then one of them will come back.
Then the 200 pound man will go.
