What was the experience like for you? Have you ever considered that it was a 'real' experience perhaps spiritual in someway?

Yes I did. I still do have them today. When I was younger I didn't have many friends, so I decided to invent imaginary ones. I talked to them, I played with them. I told them everything. Now that I'm older, I've had more experience talking to others and making friends with people, so I don't really need them anymore, but they still hang around.

Growing up there were always between 7-14 children in my home at any given time.. 4 biological and the rest transient foster children.. There was no time or space for an imaginary friend in a household so full and noisy..

My youngest daughter has a series of imaginary friends each looked remarkably like her and always took the blame for wrong doing.. The all disappeared shortly after she started school.

A lot of children have imaginary friends they are off shoots of the childs own personality.. the child works through learning about themselves by creating imaginary friends who can often do amazing things like fly or jump buildings, etc. the child can't do themselves....

I had an imaginary horse. I made him up because I wanted a real horse at the time. His name was Fred and I fed him ketchup. If there was anything particularly spiritual about Fred I must have missed it.

When I was a child, I was very wicked. For example, I converted the sand box to a quick sand box, and soon I had NO friends.

I had an imaginary friend, we used to burn stuff, like Barbie and her prissy corvette.

Wait a tic, that was my cousin. Nevermind.

No, but I used to think that if I tried really hard I could make laser beams shoot out the ends of my fingers. That's kind of spiritual, isn't it?
