The last couple of days I have been reading alot of what they have to say about their beliefs, and others, and what I have seen is horrible. It's hard to explain but they seem sad about something. Can someone explain?

Some of them are atheists because they were dissapointed in their beliefes before. Life was a B***h and so they stoped believing in God. Thats why they are sad or mad about something

Not all of us are. Trust me, there are some seriously wound up, agro Christians on this forum tonight!
I'm not sad or angry. Since becoming an atheist I have this wonderful feeling of peace and serenity.
My health improved dramatically!!!

EDIT:
I was going to post a link to the "Atheists are idiots" thing, but didnt for fear of being reported like the last time I posted a link to a question.
I really recommend you read that post. That kind of hate material pops up a lot more than really nasty stuff from atheists.

Yeah. Lets make two lists.

One listing the various wars and other atrocities started and waged by religious folks and the other by atheists.

Which side do you think is going to have the longer list?

And you want to know why atheists seem sad?

I think people fear the unknown. What they really don't understand they make fun of.

I know the Bible is not an easy book to read and understand.
To many things in the Bible seem confusing and the interpetatins are so varied.

The language is outdated and was written orginally in Greek, Latin and Arabic thousands of years ago. So the newere versions in 1600 had their own interpetations that made it even harder for mondern man to comprehend.

I don't know if everything I know about the Bible and God is 100% factual but I know that by studying the Word of God and praying that I have found peace with myself and am not afraid if I should have strife in this life as there is a better world waiting form me when I die.

Christians are not perfect...they are just forgiven..that is why we need God...He made us and He understands our problems and that is why He sent Jesus Christ..to show us the way to a better world then this. God Bless you for asking this question. You have done a great service

Well... I am agnostic but yes I AM ANGRY, over the past 8 years more and more of our political desicions are being made based on religion as opposed to logic and civic justice.

Creationism, Gay Marrige, Stem Cell Research, Abortion... etc ad nauseum.

When people literally try to make their religion LAW It gets my patriotic righteous indignation going.

When religion is removed from our govt I will give it a rest and not until then.

We are mad because we don't understand why people refuse to use any sort of logic and intelligence. If the whole concept of God doesn't make sense, the Christians just state 'i have faith'

With this "i have faith" attitude you can easily be taken in by con men, or just plain crooked politicians, because you will believe anything they say, without proof to back up what they are saying. You wont care you will just say 'i have faith'

Hitler got his power because people said 'i have faith' that he would make their country a better place.

and Christians talk about 'faith' like its a good thing.

The atheists are mad because religious folk live in a bubble, and that if you look at civilization since the beginning of religion and Gods it has caused nothing but war, fear and terror. So maybe, just maybe after 10,000 years of failing to be a global civilization where the fortunate help the poor we can try something else.

Over 100 million people have been killed from religion/sectarian violence and the believers are not phased by the ongoing genocide. How can the religions claim that they want to protect life?

According to religionists, I am a child of God.

Let's just say that in this case, righteous anger runs in the family.

I believe that some Atheists are angry people, but that's unfair to characterize ALL as being angry or sad. There are many people of various faiths that are angry and/or sad. I really think it's ridiciulous how people generalize people because of what a few people might have said and done.
