If you didn't apply for a job as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, then I would assume that it is a scam.

Headhunters usually have proper contact details and will explain how they have found you and why they think you are suitable for a position - however, you will still need to have an interview, they will not just offer you the job.

Check online that the company exists, and give them a call to verify. If they're genuine, they won't mind.

Hi, well what strikes me as a bit odd is that you cannot be a junior engineer and be called an executive at the same time. As I assume you are being hired as an engineer, I would phone them in the first instance and ask them the true job title. Did you not attend an interview? Did you get a job description? Has anything been signed? Is this an overseas assignement or are you currently residing outside of the UK? These points should be addressed - but phone them!!!
