Use cash, write a check or get a debit card. You can do that through your checking account at most banks, or buy a pre-loaded credit card at stores like Wal-Mart.

I dont have and credit cards and never felt like getting one, i save money for my target purchase and dont have to pay interest or fee of any kind to any one. Its true that it may make my credit history and rating low but i dont want to be in debt later on. they are not credit cards they are debt cards, please remember that you have to return the money you take, so why do it any way.

Oh, you'll survive, but you will find out that for many things you need a credit card nowadays. Just one example: It is practically impossible to rent a car without one.
