Hey, who wants to have a good laugh at me? Now, this is something unusual. I fell off of a carnival ride, St Roman's Festival right where I live, and broke my foot. Leave it to clumsy little me to be one of the few to do that (or many, who knows?). So, do you think this is funny? hehe, I'm in pain, but I'm still laughing at myself.

Oh, they did freak out a bit because it was one of those spinning rides and they were asking if I needed to be taken to the waiting ambulance (high security at this place). I said no, and because the kids are at my mom's, my husband carried me to the car and we went to the ER.

It was the technician's fault. he didn't properly align the ride with the platform, so when the ride stopped and the bars came loose, I jumped down and ended up falling an extra 3 feet onto metal.

It is just as funny as me falling down the stair (yes I meant to write stair as in singular) and breaking my leg in 6 places... It was 6 freakin inches how does someone break a leg in 6 places falling 6 inches..
Yup only me and 100 yr old women with severe osteoperosis can do it.. The orthopedic surgeon who put the pins in said the bone density was excellent all he could attribute it to was falling just wrong.. LOL
It could also be the pain meds making you laugh ... BTW I love Vicadin and to which ever scientist invented Vicadin "I want to show my appreciation by doing things to you that would make ladies of the night take notes') ...

I used to be a climber. Climbers are a particularly demented group of people. It seemed like the harder someone hit the ground, or the more someone bled, the funnier it was. I remember laying on the ground suckin' wind, 'cause I just broke some ribs, laughin' my a** off, which made it way, way more painful. Man, am I glad that I stopped doin' that crap, my body can't take much more of that.
I probably would have laughed at you, but I assure you, only in a good way. I definitely would have offered assistance.

Did you at least have some fun beforehand? Maybe eat some good food? How did you fall off...was there a problem with the ride or was it your clumsiness?.....it sounds funny and looks like you are taking it in stride....thanks for sharing your story.

You know what, I don't think it's funny to see someone hurt themselves (one reason I never liked the show "Candid Camera" because I don't think seeing someone fall is funny).. I hope you feel better shortly.
I hurt my hip today and I'm having trouble standing up, so I can relate.
(((((Passing a cushion over to prop up your foot)))) don't forget the appropriate hot and cold therapy and to take some Motrin.

Sorry about the ankle. Don't get fat now. I gained 10 lbs when I wrecked my ankle (didn't break it, just very bad torn something or other) Took a long time to heal.
Hope you don't take as long. Bones heal faster than ligaments. Or so they say.

Why would you want anyone to laugh at your misfortune?
If it can be proven it was the technitions fault you might have a lawsuit except that you declined medical attention from the ride operators.

Personally, I think you should sue the pants off the carnie and make tons of money.. then have a party and invite us all over :)

OUCH!!! Take care sister...are you in a walking cast or do you have a regular cast?
I don't want to be in that position again...it seems one by one all the Muslims here at YA are getting injured LOL ....and I am clumsy so I need to be extra carefull....
Maybe Allah was just trying to tell you that you need to slow down....
So, I guess we will be seeing more of you then??? :)
