Yes. Recent studies have shown that potassium benzoate found in diet sodas of various kinds has a correlation to cancer.

No, it does not. Cancer is caused by environmental factors (e.g. radiation, smoking, chemicals) in only a very few cases, and none of these are food-related. Both the food industry and the regulators in the US and every other nation are quite careful about this sort of thing. With the exception of certain members of the benzene family and other rather specialized chemicals, there is almost nothing you could possibly find to eat that could cause cancer. It might poison you outright, but tumors are rather difficult to start on purpose, which is just fine as far as I'm concerned.

There was an old joke, how to commit suicide the painless way. Sit on a colorTV and drink a six pak of diet Pepsi.
If there is anything in it,I think the quantity would be so microscopic you'd have to drink a couple gallons a day for a couple years.

I dont like anything that makes me addicted to it...soda or whatever...but I'll bet it does...hey look at milk it has 75 chemicals and at least 3 cause cancer....learned that from cousins in Ireland in the dairy business...and cold cuts still have nitrates that cause cancer...
so if you didn't cook it yourself dont eat it...and go from milk to soysilk...and no artificial anything like margarine, imo, cool whip....and go to healt food store and get the scoop on what can CURE cancer and not the meds/drugs and all that junk...there are teas like pau d arco that do wonders...and detox teas...and organic meat and veggies and fruit....the less toxins, meds, steroides, antibiotics, unnatural hormones the better...and if nothing else soda eventually cause incontinence...which is an inability to hold your urine...and it rots your teeth...go healthy...
