are they cheap and easy to replace(which means does my car have to be in the shop for 2-3 days just to have a switch replaced?)

they are way easy to replace pull the trim panel off 4 screws and disconnect the switch real easy you may be able to go aftermarket call an auto-parts store or a ford dealer might get lucky and find 1 at a wrecking yard just call around 1st. gl2u.make sure before you remove the headlight knob you pull the knob out to the fully extended position also disconnect negative battery cable before servicing.I checked at autozone they have the switch its 19.99

any good parts store or your local dealer. you can also go to motorcraft.com, look one up and find a dealer near you.
