R U asking why religions distance themselves from other religions? I think it's just philosophical differences that naturally pull them apart. I believe if you look at the core teachings, though, we are not as separate as you think.

the LORD said He would bring His people out. we have to live in the world, but not be "of" the world... not be apart of it b/c it is full of sin. being separate from the world is a safeguard to keep you from falling into sinful behaviors. God puts it like this ...

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. (1 Cor. 3:19)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Rom.12:12)

can you give an example? I don't know of a religion that stays distant. Most are trying to win souls for God in their own neighborhood and inviting people to try their church.

If you mean from other religions, I do no think we should distance ourselves from each other. If you mean from other people I don't think we should do that either.

What we try to distance ourselves from is behavior that we consider bad: distructive or hurtful to ourselves and/or to others. It's not about superiority of being seperate because we're better. We distance ourselves from bad behavior. Not from each other.
