{a} If God created free will, it logically didn't exist before he created it

{b} Because of {a}, he was therefore pre-destined to create free will, because without free will, he didn't have free will to create free will

{c} Because of {b}, god was pre-destined before the creation of free will, and thence all of creation was pre-destined

Your thoughts are convoluted, but nevertheless, if you think backwards, you'd be better served.

I'm having a problem with the way you use "pre-destined." God has a set of properties or characteristics that logically sets his behavior. Is it pre-destined that light will make an area brighter, or is it just the characteristic of light to do so?

If there is no choice between two opposing behaviors, then can there be pre-destination? If God only has the characteristic of goodness, and none of evil, then I take it that God will logically do good, not that he is pre-destined to do good.

Carrying this over to your statements, it appears that God created free-will because it was logical for him to create free-will, not because it was pre-destined.

The correct answer is thus:

While God may have existed in potentiality and possibility, the moment God 'spoke' possibility became eventuality, like a line being drawn on a blank sheet of paper.

Therefore, although God had complete knowledge of the arc of existence before God 'created' it, that does not necessarily mean that God transmitted such information within each successive moment. Therefore, when God created 'man', God witheld the aforementioned 'knowledge', creating 'free will' in the process. Free Will, by definition, is the result when one remains ignorant of the influence of actions outside of oneself upon one's decisions, and such ignorance allows one to believe that the sum of one's actions occur because of, and are the sole responsibilty thereof, oneself.

The difference between Free Will and Pre-destination is the amount of available knowledge one posses.

{b} Because of {a}, God was pre-destined to create you, because without you, God wouldn't have you to be created.

{c} Because of {b}, God was pre-destined before the creation of you, and thence it was pre-destined that you would ask such an ignorant question on Yahoo! Answers.

God did not create free will insofar as we understand that created things have a beginning and an end. Since God is eternal, not created, He has always had free will. And since God is eternal and does not have a beginning or an end in time, His free will has also been around for eternity. As for Him giving it to humans, since we are created and have not existed from eternity, there had to be a point at which He gave it to us, namely, when He created the first man, Adam. And we've been too often making the wrong choices with our free will ever since.

a. The angels had free will to disobey God and rebel. Free will is not a substance to be created such as matter. Free will is the ability to choose between self's will or God's will. God can only choose His will; there is no other choice.

b. You fail to understand God in your second statement. God's will is perfect. Since he is self-existent, he doesn't waver or change. In order to be predestined, some power or deity must exist before you to predestine you to be something or do something. God has no "destiny" as he exists outside of time and has neither a beginning nor an end; therefore He cannot be predestined.

c. see b. Also, creation was predestined by God. In that, you are correct.

A.
Nothing was ever pre destimed untill GOd destined it. GOdsays in the Bible He formed you before your parents did.
Free will is only so He cannot force you into a relationship with him because then it would only be master and servant, but Jesus came to serve, no to demand.
And lastly, trying to figure this out will only confuse you more. Just know that The choice is yours. God was is and will be .

There was nothing before God. Godalways was. THat is impossible for our humanminds to fathom. We only know things that have a time limit. God has no limits except those that He states in the Bible like never totally flooding the earth, and never leaving us.

your logic is wrong, there you go.

a) God did not create free will. He gave it to us
b) because of (a), we do have free will to say something illogical like what you said.
(c) because of (b) I free willingly answer you that pre-destined only for us creation. God doesn't stand on the same platform as we are

Premise (a) assumes that God created free will in general, but I am almost sure that it says in the bible that God created man with free will, not that God created the aspect of free will for the entire universe, including God itself.

Free will existed in the beganing and was used to choose to disobey God.
Since then you are in bondage to sin. You may think you have free will but you will always only choose that which you decide pleases you.
Until you find your freedom in Christ you will never be capable of choosing good on your own.
It's like a vulture with a chunk of meat and a cabage in front of it. Does it have a choice? Yes, but because of its nature it will ALWAYS choose the meat. The only way it can choose otherwise is to have its very nature changed which is what becoming BORN AGAIN is all about.

Well the presupposition of there being a God is that he always existed as the way he is, which denotes that free will always existed.

Furthermore, he didn't create free will per se, he merely created it insofar as he made it a human attribute.

Other than that I don't see anything wrong with your analysis. What's so bad about creation being predestined?
