I actually have to sit there everytime to prove my innocense by sitting there for 3 days to see a judge for him to kick me lose, and the first time I actually was incarcerated for eight and a half months and get found not guilty by a judge. The reason for all of this would be one that I will withhold, but...

I don't know how all of you can put the blame on this guy if he has been found not guilty. Are police officers incapable of being corrupt? I'm ashamed that people in this country can turn a blind eye to victims of a police state......

I'm sorry that the police are harrassing you. When I was younger I had similar problems and I know it isnt fun (although I never spent 8 months in jail.....oh yeah to the answer man above me that said that speedy trial b.s. welcome to America you do not know what you are talking about. It happens all the time, all they have to do is START proceedings quickly that doesnt mean they can't drag on forever)

If you have a case built up and documented talk to a lawyer and sue. Some communities do this more often than others. I mentioned that I had a problem with police harrassment....well I wasnt the only one. A gentleman here locally was married to a woman that was dating a cop on the side. The police officers co-workers arrested the poor guy and held him for four months so that she could divorce him and basically get whatever she wanted out of the deal. It was exposed to the newspaper and some cops thankfully were punished by loosing their jobs and a couple others suspended. This is not a perfect world ladies and gentlement. Not all cops are bad. But not all are good either. If the local and national news has not revealed that to you yet you are obviously not paying attention.

You sat 8 1/2 months before being found not guilty... unlikely, as the speedy trial statute would have lapsed. . .

I imagine your "harassment" has something to do with the fact that the police find probable cause to believe you have comitted a criminal act ....

Not guilty does NOT equate to innocent. . .

Here's advice - get a job. Go to job. Go home after work. Be a responsible citizen...

ADD: To Eric54. Don't know what I'm talking about? Actually, I do. But I don't have to prove my bona fides to you, who, I would estimate, does not possess a juris doctorate.

Why is the questioner withholding his reason for his claimed "harassment"? How many people, who are (truly)innocent, can say they've been arrested ten times. Answer: None. If you think police routinely go around hassling innocent citizens - you watch too much TV.

"Obama's Justice branch is aggressively investigating numerous vast city police departments for systematic civil rights abuses at the same time with harassment of racial minorities, fake arrests, and severe use of rigidity." this may be a international of distinction from "threatening" every physique for arresting black human beings. Why shouldn't abuse be eradicated?

Hmmmm.

Been over the law books again. The old POP joke is a good one but I don't see it in here anywhere.

You mentioned keeping something back from your scenario and that makes me suspicious. Arrested ten times, sat in jail over eight months, just minding your own business and the big bad police just come and scoop you up..... I'm not buying your story.

You have been arrested 10 time? For nothing? Spent 8 months in jail for nothing?

I think not.

It's a good thing John Law is keeping his eye on you.

In all my 67 years, I've never met ONE person who has been arrested ONCE.

You are messing in something that is sooooo wrong.

Well it sounds like the case of you arent a RAT thats sure nice to see now of days. As for being harrassed I know the feeling, what you can do is file a complaint with internal revinew. They will ask you for whom and for what the situation is. Be sure to keep all your arrests docked. They will need straight facts to get a restraining order on them and a lawsuit issued. They investigate the situation and then get back to you. If they find you have a case you automatically win. I give you much respect for standing up for yourself and Mostly not being a rat. Peace officers now of days should be renamed "TERRORIST". good luck hope everything works out. You are in my top of the lists prayers.

OK, If I get a dollar for every time I hear this same thing. Let me guess, you are just a victim. You had nothing to do with it. LOL.

My advise is stop breaking the law.

Wow! You must live in a tranquil little town. The police have nothing else to do but arrest you over and over again for NOTHING. And the judge keeps setting you free, yet he does NOTHING about investigating those awful police officers.
OK, so if you are innocent, then why on earth do you need to have a "reason" - albeit, a withheld reason - at all?

I dunno... Your story smells kinda fishy to me....

cops dont have time to arrest you continually for doing nothing wrong....you have obviously pissed them off in the past or are doing something else and they know it but cant get you on it so they will get you on other stuff until you finally get convicted of something to go away for awhile

Talk to the ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union. However, I suspect that this reason you're witholding is a real winner like you slept with the Chief's wife?
