Do just what Jesus did. Be yourself. Tell the truth. Don't blame others for your misery. Be responsible. Help others when you can and it's appropriate. Don't be wishy washy.
Stand up for what you believe is right even when it's not popular.

A true follower of Christ would want to be as alike him as possible.
To do this, they would read everything about him that they could.
Once read up on exactly what he is about and wants from us, then we would start to act upon what we have learned.
We would learn that Jesus was not afraid in the least to let someone know they were wrong, even his closest friends were told when they were off base.
We would also learn that Jesus was not afraid to walk right up to people that the world deemed unsuitable to be around, and he befriended them. He didnt accept their unsuitable behavior, he told them they were very valuable and to live as if they were, no matter what others thought and said.
He ate with these people, he walked with them, he was their friend and their teacher, and he not only said he would lay down his life for them, he DID.
Now, we know that most of us will never have an opportunity to actually lay down our life for another, but, we can forego our own wants and desires and do things for others, rich, poor, nice, mean.
Clothing choices would be whatever was available, if there was a goodwill back then, Jesus would have utilized it. As it were, he had friends that made his garments for him. Simple and functional, nothing that would stand out in a crowd as either very fancy, nor way out of date.
A follower of Jesus today, would challenge others to act the way that they see them living. A question to each and every follower of Jesus Christ, including myself, is, Do I want to give this challenge to another , to act as they see me act, to live as they see me live? I would hope the answer would be a knowing yes, but alas, I am flawed, just as all are.

I believe the greatest testimony to our faith as christians is how we treat others.
We are to have love, sympathy and empathy towards others.
Our personality, should be one of happiness and full of hope for our future.
I do believe there are social functions that Christians do not have any busy attending.
Our clothing choices: should be modest, yet not revealing.
WE should care for the widowed, poor and helpless as much as possible.
We can let others see Christ in us without even having to utter a word.

Act like a long-haired radical socialist Jew. I met a lot of them in San Francisco in the late 60's and early 70's. They ---
Shared everything they had.
They eat organic foods from collective farms
Drink a lot of wine.
Ate a lot of magic mushrooms
Dressed in simple hand made or decorated clothes.
Talked endlessly about changing the status quo to empower more people.
Challenged the set ideas of their elders.
Traveled (mostly on foot or with the help of other peoples transportation) in groups of 12 or more.
Opposed the ruling class but peacefully.
Main difference is while Jesus died in body and his spirit lived on The children of the summers of love died in spirit while their bodies lived on through disco and the "me' generation.

To be Christ-like is to follow in His footsteps; that is, to serve the Father above all else. It also means learning the Scriptures by heart and practicing them daily in life. A true follower of Christ is always humble, never boastful. To me, he would be one who has tremendous patience, has boundless love for all and do not discriminate against anyone.

Only by having the indwelling Spirit of Christ. No attempt to be like Christ will succeed without this.

Read the Gospels
See what Jesus did and do just like he did
Walk like he walked
talk like he talked
have the same qualities as he did
follow his life and you will be as he is
clothing is the out side appearance
the heart is what matters
let your light shine before all

One who confesses his sins to God knowing that he will be forgiven as that is what Jesus promised. One who thinks of others first and themselves second, one who tries to obey the ten commandments and definitely one who puts no other God before the true God. One who tries to lift the spirit in others, one who is not denying his faith, and one who wants to be a beacon for those who are lost. But being Christ-like, I don't know anyone on earth who is perfect and I don't expect that I shall until Jesus returns.

Be a servant to others. Have love and compassion for everyone, regardless of what social class, gender, or religion they belong to. Seek the way of God in all you do. Don't just do things for show, but really love God and do what is right and be sincere.
