You should re-home the dog. You are making it's life hell because of your overbearing way of going about things.
You cannot get results by bullying a dog. You need to put some good work in on his training ......but under supervision!!!
YOU WILL NEVER GET RESPECT IF IT IS BOURNE OUT OF FEAR!

This dog is frightened. Yelling at him is not helpful. His "cage" shouldn't be just for punishment, but now that it is, it may have lost the value it should have. It should be a dog's own "room" where it can hang out without being bothered. It should be taught that the "box" is a pleasant place with lots of treats.
Keep a leash on the dog while in the house so you can catch him and put him out more quickly. Give him treats and praise for doing the right thing. Don't just yell that he's bad. I have a JRT who is six and he's afraid outdoors by himself. If he is left out alone, he will hide rather than go out next time. Teach the dog to go out, do its business and come right in for a treat.
That would be like living in hell, having someone scaring you like that, especially your family. Don't leave him out alone if he's scared.
When someone comes to the door, catch the dog and remove him before you answer the door. Put him in another room or somewhere.
This is a frightened, disturbed animal. If your family won't find a trainer to help you, give him to a dog rescue.

First: get a book called "Cesar's Way" by Cesar Milan. Read it, and you'll get a better understanding of what's going through your dog's head. He's hiding because he's scared of you, he's peeing all over the place because that's how a puppy shows that he's submissive to an adult that's angry with him, and he just doesn't understand what you want or how to make you happy.
Then find an obedience school which DOESN'T focus on punishing dogs for being dogs, but teaches you and your dog to understand each other. Communication is a big part of the problem here.
If that doesn't work, consider finding the dog another owner, maybe an older person who likes dogs and has experience with them. It sounds like your family is very active and busy, and some dogs just don't deal well with that.

Take him to a"doggy school" sorry it's late and I'm drawing a blank on the correct term but I'm sure you know what I mean. He may also be the type of dog that doesn't fit well into a house. Do you know anyone with a farm or a large area for him to stay outside? I know that it would probably be hard to give him up but if you choose a family that will love him and give him the space he needs, then you are doing good for him and your family. You can get another dog that would be good in your home. Again, I know that might sound hard but some animals just aren't meant to be house pets and need more space.

Be a better leader.
Lead him outside and call him to follow you out.
Don't pull him from behin the chair if you know that makes him pee. Bad idea.
Don't tell him he is a bad boy when he comes in the house. It is not wrong to come back in the house.
Dog's don't beat one another or pull one another around the house so they really don't understand it when you do it. Rward him for doing the right things. Tempt him to do it with a treat and fuss over him when he is good. Just teling him no when he misbehaves is enough.
Don't use his cage for a prison. He should like going into his cage. It's one of the only things he has.

First off I am not sure why you say she cant sleep in the house. She is probably barking because she wants to be with someone. If she is potty trained, try letting her in your bedroom in her crate. Let her know you are there she is scared and wants to be with someone. This is a new home for her. THink of a 2 year old baby being given to a family it doesnt know. She would cry and whine and want to know she is loved. If you are not against it I would let her sleep in the bed with you for a few nights until she gets used to the place. You can also get a 2 liter bottle and fill it with hot water and wrap it in a nice soft towel. Place it in the crate next to her and place her crate in your bedroom for a few nights. It will make her feel warm and safe like she is near her mommy. It takes time for dogs to adjust. Poodles do tend to bark a lot in general. I hate the shock collars and although I know people that have them I would only say to use that as a very last resort!

Try praising him when he does something good. Don't tell him he is going out - just take him out and stay with him outside until he pees or whatever and then tell him what a good boy he is. He has probably heard 'bad boy' so much he is getting very nervous - that's why he pees when you finally pick him up. You say you have a crate - do you take him outside as soon as you let him out? If he is a puppy he needs to go out often. Most dogs want to please you so if they try to be good praise them. He may benefit from some basic training courses. Good luck!

Start watching The Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel and/or buy a book by Caesar Millan. He's fantastic and his techniques are easy to apply.
For one thing, make sure the dog gets a walk long enough to get him tired each day. Burning off the excess energy helps.

Sounds like a submissive problem..your dog is scared for a reason..what your dog needs is training. and alot of it..the peeing...well take him out more! But it really sounds like a submissive problem, peeing, running, and hiding..hes either insecure *dogs can get that way* or hes got a bad history

by crud i asume you mean poo. well first off when dogs get scared they usually have a problem controling their pee. Also if he is leaving poo on your floor its because you are not taking him outside enough, also your not watching him while he is in the house, he needs to be walked alot. you cant punish a dog after they have done the bad deed because they dont know what they are getting punished for. put him in his cage at night while your sleeping but only after you have taken him out and make sure he goes to the bathroom before you put him in his cage. then in the morning take him on a long walk not only to get energy out but also to go to the bathroom. when he is in the house while your home you have to watch him constantly. when he starts to go to the bathroom make a loud noise and walk to him. he will stop going to the bathroom. take him outside immediately let him go out there and when he does go outside give him a treat and affection. this will teach him that if i go to the bathroom outside then i will get a treat. you need to take him outside 20 to 30 minuets after he eats because he will have to go to the bathroom. you can not punish a dog for going to the bathroom because they are scared. he runs under your bed because he is scared of you, instead you need to have respect from your dog and a loving companionship. your dog will gain respect if you take him outside alot not only to go to the bathroom but again to get his energy out. also you can not tell a dog to stop barking when someone is at the door. its their way of protecting you. they are going to bark if you want him to stop barking after you answer the door then make a noise like sssst and clap your hands this lets him know his behavior is unacceptable and he will stop for a few seconds and usually just growel under his breath. and you make the sound again and clap and he will be quiet but only snort with his nose in disagreement but he will obey you. i would suggest watching the show dog whisperer on the national geographic channel
