Oh, one more thing. I just got my free upgrade cd from HP. If i hold off on installing it, will I still be able to get it down the road? I wont mess anything up by waiting a month or two right?

I would wait until Service Pack 1 comes out and patches some of the bugs.

I'd recommend doing it if all of your hardware will be compatible with vista. It might be better if you wait until SP1 comes out before doing it. But I already have Windows Vista installed on my computer, so far it hasn't been too buggy, besides the fact that my RAM is low and my processor is slow.

Vista is very fine,contains no bugs and no problems at all.
I have been using it for 5 months and nothing really to mention,don't listen to people who say vista is buggy and wait for sp!

More and more software and hardware mfgrs are catching up and it is relatively safe to do now.If there is no compelling reason to upgrade now, wait. SP1 will be out soon and will have some nice extra features.

wait for the release of the 1st service pack.. that should clear out most of the intro bugs in Vista..

My suggestion start getting used to Linux or MacosX.
