No evidence to support the theory of dualism (separate mind and body). Usually the term "old soul" refers to someone who's a little more perceptive than the average slob. Doesn't prove anything.

The term "Soul" is used so loosely within groups today, new age, wiccan, etc.. It's such a vague term, and doesn't really have any credibility. I've been told I've an old and young soul, but, a soul would propose an unchanging being in a constantly changing universe.. Some new agey person would just say, ohh, its in another dimension, or something. Personally, as a buddhist, i stick the the idea that there is no soul. There's an I, but only in consecutive layers of the mind and physical.
My body for example is muscle, bones, blood, nervous, skin, hair, brain... My mind is formulation, feeling, discrimination, composing factors, and consciousness. This solid Idea we have of ourselves can be broken down to the smallest detail. Not to say we don't exist, its just that we exist only in dependence to all universal factors, both with form and formless... This breaks the idea that we are separate from everything around us.. Look up quantum physics.. Cheers

I'm 70 years old. When I get out of bed in the morning, I'm the oldest soul in the world. But after a shower and breakfast with my lovely lady I feel a lot younger. By the end of the day I'm 18 again and ready for anything. Life is good.

I know I am a old soul, because my spirit guide comes to me a lot, she is very protective of me, she knows me from other liefs since she has been giving me memory of them. And when I was a very young boy I would have memory of peoples faces in detail, sometimes many at once in my head. I also had out of body experiences and met up with this woman guide we would hold and hug as if we new one another. She has helped me with my son a lot in the pass three years....... do you think that's enough evidence?

Well, many people tell me I am. In in acting class we had to, one by one, sit in front of the rest of the class and be analyzed, given our posture, clothing, and expression. "Old soul" was definitely a term that came up ^_^ (also a term my theatre professors use to describe me.). The first time my most recent professor saw me preform Shakespeare, her only remark was, "you're so *true* to Shakespeare."
I'm very innocent minded, yet I "see" more than many of my peers. I'm 21, look 14, but seem far, far older. It's an interesting life ;p

I don't believe in a soul...
But, if they did exist, a soul couldn't be old or young because they exist forever.
