not really, they are both symbols of the cross that Jesus was nailed to. a crucifix could have an actual little Jesus on it but for the most part, they are the same, they mean the same things. I've come to find that Catholics wear crucifixes more than crosses.

the crucifix is the symbol for catholicism and the cross is the symbol for christianity, but people dont really care alot about it or dont know about it and get whichever one they like better, so its not like if someone ha a crucifix than they are catholic and visa verse

My understanding (and I'm not a Catholic, so please correct me if I'm wrong) is that a crucifix, that is, with Jesus on the cross is more strongly associated with Catholicism. I was told that this was because there is a belief that Jesus still suffers for our sins now, as in, if one sins, one puts Jesus back on the cross.
A simple cross, however, is just a cross to symbolise what ever you want it to: Christianity/Jesus' death for our sins/ a reminder of faith/ just a peace of jewellery etc.

Wearing ornaments and clothes always does not mean the truth in their hearts.

But Jesus death on the cross is TO SAVE US. I came to know the truth recently and it amazes me and I am so glad of it.

God saw that all the humans were doing so many wrong things that they can never have a relationship with the Holy God, but He wanted them to be pure and Holy like Him. Like how Adam and God talked to each other before Adam sinned. Since God's love was so much for man, Jesus who dwelled with God in heaven, said that He will go to mankind and was willing to become a sacrifice. So it was that, whoever Believed in Jesus will not perish but have everlasting life. His death on the cross has put to death our sin that we can now have a relationship with God again.

I feel God's presence for the past 7 months after I turned back from my sins and asked God to change me.

Please read my life change which I wrote here,
