You rang?

Great song, but not what I really consider blues. Booker T & the M.G.'s are good but not really thought about; much like the Funk Brothers. Maybe they just need a documetary done.

I agree with the above replies. I never considered this a blues song. Its more R&B. Roy Buchanan does have a great version on Loading Zone. The musicians on this song are great: Steve Cropper on guitar, Donald Dunn on bass, Al Jackson on drums. Cropper and Dunn were later on part of the Blues Brothers.
In answer to your question, I am a true blues fan and yes I do like this song although its certainly not on my list of favorites.

Love it! You can also find a version of it by Roy Buchanon with Steve Cropper on guitars on "Loading Zone"..I think...Although my favourite Booker T. Jones & The Memphis Gang's album would be the soundtrack to the movie "Uptight!"...You gotta listen to it ...the definitive "Time is Tight" is on it..different from the single..but yeah...hit me with that Hammond and Steve Cropper guitar and rhythm duo and Ima digging up the carpet...

Jeff Beck did a nice version of this song. Wasn't it in that Schwartzenegger movie, "TWINS"?
