I asked what would Christians do when they saw gay people in heaven, cause homosexuality isn't a sin. And I was told:

"They will likely not be there and you probably won't either. I am sorry, only GOD will be able to say for certain. We are not supposed to judge others."

Anyone see a contradiction in that statement?

Sweetie, don't listen to that "please don't hate me" mess; it is guilt and nothing more. If he is suicidal, he needs therapy, not a relationship. That is just manipulation; don't worry about it. Just stop answering him. Don't answer his calls, his texts, or even if he knocks on the friggin' door. Pretend you are not home. You are hurt because he hurt you. Be kind to yourself and be kind to him as well by not communicating at all. You are bound, at this stage, to just hurt each other. Do not try to analyze or asses the situation until some time has gone by and you are more in control of your feelings and feeling more confident.

Yes it is a dumb statement. However, nowhere in Christian teaching does it say not to judge; it only says not to be a hypocrite. The two common misconceptions are these:

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

Most people don't know what "lest" means; they think it means "or else." "Don't judge, or else you will be judged too." Actually, lest means "for fear that," as in, "Don't judge, for fear that you will be judged too." However, if you're not the least bit afraid of being judged, then by all means go ahead and judge.

The other is the famous "Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone." Most people, religious or not, agree that no one is perfect and we all do things we shouldn't do. However, if you're one of those smug Christians who is actually convinced that you do not ever sin, then you too are free to throw all the stones you like.

The point in both of these is to strive to be the best person you can be, so that you will be able to accuse your neighbor of sin without being hypocritical. This is exemplified in Jesus' (incredibly lame) metaphor of the 2x4 in your eye.

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." (MT 7:3-5 NIV)

See? Once you have no plank in your eye (don't ask me how that makes sense), then you are obligated to judge your brother...for having sawdust in his eye.

It sounds like the person wrote rashly and then repented of it. Of course, they were not correct about judging other people because we can compare people's actions to what the Bible says and let the Word of God be their judge. Just like your assertion that homosexuality isn't a sin.

The meaning of the word "sin" means "to miss the mark". When people have sex with other people of the same sex they are "missing the mark" of God's design for human sexuality. Here's what Jesus said.

Matthew 19:4 He answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh'? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."

And here's what the Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in the church at Corinth.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

As to whether or not you will go to Heaven that all depends upon whether or not you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus for your salvation. Then you can be like the people Paul wrote to.

Pleas read 1 Corinthians 6 an 1 Timothy 1 and then see why the Cristian's give you this answer., It is written in the Bible. God Bless. You can always pray to God and confess your sins and STOP sinning then you can go to heaven if you truly do what God tells you to do and believe IN Jesus Christ as your Savior. God Bless

None of these kinds of people then will be in heaven, but people who were formerly these kinds of people will.

The bible does not say altogether that we cannot judge. What it does say is that those of the holy spirit MAY judge.

I Corinthians 14:24-25 "He will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be JUDGED by all, and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare."

Leviticus 19:15
In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

What this person meant was: God and by proxy, his sheep, are allowed to judge. Nobody else is allowed to judge.

No one should ever judge others, because only God knows where you'll end up and no one else holds that information.

it is a pretty lame contradiction, but that person is clearly conflicted. on one hand, they don't like you and hope you go to hell, but then they get guilted out and offer a disclaimer about judgement and what God thinks...

so leave them alone...

I do, Christians have the problem that many people are not fully devout. They are very hypocritical, and I am not fond of their arrogance. They feel they have to be right!!!!!!
