Obviously this was just to make a point.

I'm not really asking for an explanation. It was just to point out the "logic" in those questions.

They do say because the scriptures says they should. Jesus himself said "the sick have need of a doctor". There are numerous verses which speak of using medicine. And many of the Old Testament laws deal with diet, sanitation, avoiding contact with germs, quarantining the sick, etc as means of reducing and curing diseases. The advantage that Christians have is they can ALSO turn to the power of prayer when they are sick.

While there was a time when Jesus feed a multitude, no where in scripture are we told to stop buying food and just wait for a miracle. There was a time when Jesus produced tax money from the mouth of a fish, but nowhere are we told to stop working and expect God to pay all your bills. And just because there were times when Jesus healed people, nowhere are we told to stop seeing doctors. But in an emergency, we can turn to God for food, money, healing, etc. So far, he has always come through when needed for me. But he does not expect us to live on miracles. He expects us to live in according with the health principles revealed in the scriptures.

Don't you think that God works through the Doctors? And haven't you ever heard of a doctor saying; "there's no hope," "we've done all we can do" And yet, prayers are said and the person miraculously is cured or saved . . . well that's God!

God Bless You

God gives us common sense. God also answers prayer. Common sense should let us know that if we are sick and need to go to the doctor. We should also pray. Going to the doctor and prayer go hand in hand. There is no conflict in doing both.

Jesus said when he was in the desert and tempeted by the devil, 'thou shalt not put thy God to the test.'

God has given us science to use. When science has no answers then we can pray.

LOL... it depends on the religion, I suppose. In the faith I follow, the Gods definitely help those who help themselves.

I'm a Christian. I've been healed by the Lord for a condition that could have been perilous to my baby while I was pregnant with Him. He healed me, I testify to that!

The doctors just shrugged, but I know tht I was prayed over by pastors for healing.

Because they are sick.
But they should visit psychiatrists more coz they suffer from a god delusion.... believing, seeing and hearing things from a non-exixtent god.
