It makes me think about the saying 'you can't love others until you love yourself'. As a believer, God is first in my life. He is above myself and my son even. I have given my life to Him. I want my soul to go to Him after my body dies and the only way to do that is to honor and worship Him. To love Him, to trust Him, to be at peace with Him knowing that He will take care of me. After I give my life to Him and all that I just said, I can take care of my son and myself on earth. As I love God, I love my self and I love my son and my famly and my friends and neighbors and strangers and even enemies.

Peace!

To me it means that a person who is still under God's wrath because they have not trusted in Jesus for their salvation and received the Holy Spirit cannot be free from the power of sin in their life and so they are still controlled by their flesh.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Love? assorted those structures talk approximately love. Hasn't introduced them jointly regardless of the incontrovertible fact that. seems that your diagnosis is incorrect, love has no longer introduced them jointly. i think of your assessment that we desire love quite than open debate is likewise incorrect. each and every theory gadget could be challenged via another theory gadget. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that it may be nice if all of us must be nicer to a minimum of one yet another on a similar time as doing so, yet a number of them have techniques that lead them to collectively unique, those could be challenged besides.

All our knowledge brings us nearer to our ignorance,
All our ignorance brings us nearer to death,
But nearness to death no nearer to God.
