23 yr old out of a 3 yr relationship: My ex has dumped me and it hurts, the catch is for the last 6 months I have been trying to dump him, I just wasn't happy I expressed this to him over the months just never stuck to my guns and went through with it. Well he caught on and ended it with me, but now I miss him more than anything and want him back, Why do I want him back if I was the one that wanted to end it in the first place?? ANY ADVICE

You cant just shut it off, you invested your life in this person. Thats the problem with dating, in our age. It should never have happened. Courting it should have been, but live and learn, try out the ride before you buy it, but i DISAGREE GENERATION!

I can so relate to this question...I felt the same way about my boyfriend of 2 years until I ended it with him and he left. I was so hurt and distraught that I cried all night long. I have come to the realization that I did not want to be alone. It is hard to get used to. I think that the reason that we end it in the first place is because we know that deep down in our hearts that they will come back and when they don't it is like a slap in the face. So you want him back only because you don't want to be alone. Love takes time to heal when your hurting. So if you do want to be back with him call him and tell him, if not give it some time and the pain will go away. REAL TALK!!!

Yes Kate, Love does hurt. And no, you're not alone as I'm in the same boat(pretty much) as well. All I can say is I'm so very sorry this had happened to you. The loss will be his, and personally, I hope he suffers merrcilessly. You should do what you can to keep busy and occupy your time, and get him out of your head. I'm sure there is a good man for you who will treat you with the love and respect you surely deserve. I hope you find him, I wish you Good Luck.

trust me, no matter what, you'll always want them back, at least at first
my ex dumped me a few weeks ago, and i desperately wanted him back too, but he just told me it wasn't going to happen. everyone kept telling me how bad he was treating me, but i didn't care, i still wanted him.
i even dreamt about getting back together. you just need to find some closure. i had been dreaming about him every night until i deleted him off my msn and vowed never to speak to him again....no more dreams.

well we all have that feelin well at least i had.i wanted 2 dump my boyfriend 1 but he beat me 2 it.well im only 13 i i know what does a kid know bout boyfriendz and stuff but im good at this advice stuff.newayz u want him back cause u loved him.when u really loved someone u dont give them up that ez.dont worry u will 4get him.when another boi(or man)comez along u will 4get all bout him!trust me

Hello I do feel your pain. It is obvious that you are in love with him my dear. It seems as if you can't stop. You have to have him back in order for other girls to stay away from him. Thats love he just doesn't love you back.
