I moan AND groan. My wife moos when she gives birth. Really. She sounds just like a cow. That's not disrespectful because it is the truth.

naturally ,most people moan or groan when in pain
I had a major surgery and I always said my tummy hurts and the nurse would give me a shot
don't know if that is moaning or groaning

Once when I pulled a muscle in my back. The next day, the girl who drove me to the hospital told me that I scared her to death, when I asked why, she told me that I was humming the whole time. I think I was moaning...lol
