Assosciation with non witness people , although allowed, is frowned upon...All other Witness doctrine Heaven,,hell,, the diety of Christ..All fly in opposition of true christian doctrine....The reason any religion sepairates its people is because, the teachings are so ealily disproved that in order to keep people in the faith...they have to sepairate them...this is how cults work.

Saluting or pledging allegiance to the flag is considered as a reverent act, an act of sacred devotion, and since the flag is an image of the State, such an act constitutes a form of idolatry. See Exodus 20:4-6; 1Â John 5:21.
While not discouraging others from saluting the flag of any nation, Jehovah’s Christian witnesses feel that they can give such worship only to Jehovah God. They have due respect for the flag of their respective countries, but for them to idolize the flag of any nation and engage in acts of worship to an image of the State would be an act of unfaithfulness toward God and disloyalty toward the kingdom of God’s Son.
"I read this: "If a member is guilty of breaking a minor rule such as associating with a worldly person (one who is not a Jehovah's Witness) that individual could be marked."
If you read that somewhere, what did it say?

I am not a JW but I did do a home study with them for about a year.
Question 1: The JW's believe it's a sign of worship and since you are too only worship Jehovah...this would be bad. As for the military...killing is wrong and therefore going into the military is wrong as you will have to kill and assist in the killing of others.
Question 2: In the bible...and I can't recall where...it basically says that you want to associate with others of like mind so as not to fall to non-christian practices. This was the reason I couldn't join as all my friends are of other religions or non-religious. Depspite them being good people, I would not be allowed to associate with them. That did not seem very "christ-like" as Christ associated with prostitutes, the sick and so on....one of the reasons he was seen as a heratic and killed on the cross...or stake....

We do not salute the flag and recite the pledge of allegiance because for one thing, allegiance is the loyalty of a citizen to his or her government or of a subject to his or her sovereign. Our loyalty belongs to Jehovah alone. We don't run for public office or vote because we are to stay neutral in world affairs. We do not participate in the armed forces becauase we don't go to war.
As for associating with non-Jehovah's Witnesses, we are to limit our association with those who don't share our faith.

1. We don't do these things because our allegiance is to Jehovah; not to any worldly government. As James 4:4 puts it, "Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is declaring himself an enemy of God." That is due to the world being controlled by Satan.(1 John 5:18)
2. That is not reasonable. We are among those every day.

Lemming Princess- DANG!! you're old.
not sure why jehovah's witnesses do not associate with non jehovah's witnesses but i do have a friend who is in this religion. we hang out, ya know and play vollyball. she was my classmate in high school. she's cool. So, i'm not sure if what you read is really true. But my jehovah witness friend doesn't smoke. i offered her cigerettes but turned me down many times. If i keep forcing the joint on her, she won't play ball with me anymore. maybe that's why they are told not to associate with non Jehovah's witnesses because we are bad influence on them? i dunno know. That's my opinion.
I'm not a Jehovah's Witness but i do not salute the flag either. What for? saluting or giving alliegance to an object is plain crazy. You should be saluting a man of honor or God only. Not a "thing". Again, my opinion.
Lemming Princess, you don't know what a cult is.

1. I am not a JW, but I know the answer to this question. They feel that they are in this world but are not a part of it. They are told to advance Jehovah's kingdom.
2. This means that the JW's eat their own. There are spies in the organization that tattle on others about things they do and say. If you are tattled on, then you are under report or get the "big D".

Regarding the second point of this question, readers should be assured that the apparent quote certainly does NOT quote any publication of Jehovah's Witnesses. In fact, it completely misrepresents the beliefs and practices of this Christian religion. Each individual and family head decides for himself with whom his family may socialize, and so that group of associates may include a mere handful or an entire neighborhood full of non-Witnesses.
"Marking" relates to 2 Thessalonians 3:14, and relates to baptized Witnesses who plainly demonstrate that they are themselves "bad association" (though not practicers of "serious sin"). Perhaps the Witness insists on dating a non-Witness or insists on gossipping. Neither of these questionable practices is a "serious sin", but neither is likely to encourage and upbuild the Christian brotherhood and both contradict plain principles of the bible. The "marked" person continues to enjoy Christian fellowship at congregation functions, but those familiar with his continuing unwholesome practices would likely refrain from socializing with him.
(2 Thessalonians 3:13-15) Do not give up in doing right. But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him, that he may become ashamed. And yet do not be considering him as an enemy, but continue admonishing him as a brother.
Regarding the first point of this question, it may simply be noted that Jehovah's Witnesses believe themselves to be subjects of God's government by Christ Jesus, and so they remain neutral with regard to political matters. Technically, the decision regarding whether or not to stand for a particular performance of any national anthem is a personal decision for each Jehovah's Witness. During circumstances when standing for a national anthem would seem likely to imply an agreement with the anthem's sentiments or a position of allegiance to a human government, most Jehovah's Witnesses will choose not to stand.
Around the globe, Jehovah's Witnesses respect the governments and flags under which they live. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the flag salute is an act of worship, and that a "pledge of allegiance" can only made to God. Ceremonies involving national anthems can also approximate "worship" and non-neutrality.
Jehovah's Witnesses understand the bible to teach that Almighty God requires exclusive devotion; that is, he requires that worship and unrestricted allegiance belong to Him alone.
(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion
(Matthew 4:10) Then Jesus said... ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’
Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses are well-known as law-abiding persons. The Scriptures also teach that obedience is owed to secular governments, which the bible calls "the superior authorities". Of course, such subjection is RELATIVE to the unrestricted allegiance which is owed to God.
(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God
(Acts 5:29) We must obey God as ruler rather than men
It may be helpful for non-Witnesses to read all of Daniel chapter 3, and note the connections between the ceremony described there and modern pledge of allegiance.
