Bill of sale, Title and (sometimes) an old registration receipt. The first two are aboslutely vital as you willn't be able to register the vehicle in your name, or get insurance (which you will need in order to register the car). Good luck.

1.Bill of sale.
2. Manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable).
3. Documents required when buying out of state car (depends on the state)
4. Odometer disclosure
5. Car Title

Understand that on vehicle documents an "or" between co-owner names indicates one owner can sell the vehicle without the other's signature or consent. When a slash ("/"), indicating "and," appears between the owner's names, the signature of each owner is required.
