Actually Weiner is not pronounced as in American English (weener), but rather (whiner) in German/Yiddish (spoken by Jewish people if they didn't speak Hebrew, not to mention English). A "weiner/weener" is a hot dog/frankfurter, but a "whiner" is someone I don't want to know.
