I was recently reading about a man who claims to have been diagnosed with a particular type of cancer (he won't say what kind) at the age of 18. He says his doctor told him he will probably not live past the age of 40.
I'm curious of what kind of cancer gives that kind of life expectancy?

Thats hard to tell without sympthoms. Because all types of cancer have the similar life expectancy.

Like the others have says it depends on the cancer. What I know for sure is the Oncologists talk in '5 years survival rates ... % of people still alive'. Seems kinda weird to me for a Doctor to tell an 18 year old that he will be dead by 40, maybe thats just me
