Prayers for a child, Part 2!?

Hi ALL ... this is an update to my last question ...

My husband I and went to Missouri to visit our family and friends... While we were there we went to the hospital and got to visit with Gwen and her Mom, (her Dad stays at night with her, there are other children in this family). Gwen has gotten better, shes still not of trouble, but is not getting any worse.

She has to be on a C-pap machine to keep her lungs full of air, if not they might collapse, they did once before last week! Gwen is on 80 to 90% Oxygen, the goal is to get her 40% (room air) and keep her lung in-flatted.

They (the Doctors) have talked about a trake, the family is against it, its not going to help Gwen's quality of life! The chance of infection is much greater. He parents and family, know that this is the downward part of Ms. Gwen's life, I have a daughter Gwen's age ... I cried when I saw her hooked up to the machines!

Its very humbling to see, this child and the love that her mother has for her. It was life changing for me and my husband.

Please pray that we as her church family understand God will and that when it is Gwen's time to go to the Lord, its peaceful! The family has begun to prepair themsleves for the end. The Doctors told them that removing her from her life support maybe the only option, AND yes, they have asked a boat load of questions about all this. This is not new to them, shes 11 and have been going thru her short life with all of this!

She cannot live on a C-pap thats not whats its for, its ONLY to help her for a short time ... NOT long term! Only God knows what is going to happen.

PLEASE pray for them and the church family ... Most of the family has known Gwen since birth... My husband and I have only known her for the last 2 years ...

A track for a child is more dangerous than most people think. The child's body cannot fight infection like an adults body. If they did it, she would be back in the hospital and much worse than she is now!

Gwen has to have suction applied to her to clean out her lungs, Gwen cannot cough, so a track, will do more harm than good. Her throat is not normal, at birth is was crushed by her cord, Gwen cannot swallow, cough, make a sound.

She cannot move, she can bearly breathe even before she was put in PICU (Peds ICU).

Last night, we got a phone call from another church member back in Missouri, Gwen is going to be taken home in an Ambulance, Hopsis has been called. Gwen will live her last days at home with her family ... As it should be!

God needs Gwen more than we do here on Earth. Its time for her to be free to run, play and see all of God's wonders!

I'm very sorry to hear of your family health crisis....My prayers are with you,I lost my Mom last March, she'd been a Christian all my life and way before I was born...and it's sad to loose someone, but a child is a very hard burden to bare.But I know where Mom is and it's a big comfort to all of us to know this.....and that will be a comfort to them to ...to know that she will be with Jesus in Heaven...I have something else I want to give you and maybe it might help,to let the family read it too ...I've sent this to many people and it has help them a lot...just read it and you'll understand why. THE DREAM

I DREAMED ONE NIGHT TWO ANGELS CAME TO MY BED. THEY TOOK ME TO HEAVEN I FELT I HAD NOTHING
TO DREAD. WE STOOD IN FRONT OF A BIG WHITE GATE. IT OPENED SLOWLY AS WE STOOD IN WAIT.
MANY CLOUDS BILLOWED AND SWIRLED ABOUT US AS I STOOD IN AWE OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT
SURROUNDED US. WHAT I SAW WORDS COULD NOT EXPRESS, I WANTED TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS.
THE ANGELS ALLOWED ME TO LOOK INSIDE, THE BEAUTY THE MAJESTY, MADE ME CRY.
"IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE, I KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE" I HEARD MYSELF CRY, AS TEARS RAN STREAMING
FROM MY EYES.
I KNEW WHAT I SAW WAS NOT OF THIS EARTH,THIS CREATION WAS FOR THOSE OF THE NEW BIRTH. THE
POWER, THE BEAUTY, THE SIGHT OF IT ALL WAS SO STRONG,THAT THE ANGELS SHUT THE GATES QUICKLY
TO MY NEW HOME. "IT'S NOT YOUR TIME," I HEARD THEM SAY, " WE JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE WHAT WAS

WE ALL NEED TO REALIZE THAT IT'S REALLY TRUE. WE NEED TO GET THE LOST ONES IN IF IT'S ALL THAT WE
DO. WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME, THE END IS NEAR, AND YES, IF YOU ARE LOST YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO FEAR.
CALL ON JESUS NOW, SO YOU CAN GO TO AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I SAW AND YOU'LL BE EXCITED TOO.
I'LL SOON BE IN MY NEW HOME,PASS THE BIG WHITE GATES. DON'T YOU WANT TO GO THERE TOO? I JUST CAN'T

I REALLY DREAMED THIS DREAM JUST AS IT IS WRITTEN. I FEEL IT WAS INSPIRED BY GOD AND HE GUIDED MY
THOUGHTS AND MY HAND IN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER.

I AM GIVING THIS TO YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND GOD HAS DIRECTED ME TO DO SO.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU TO MAKE THE BIGGEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE
TO ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND TO SERVE HIM. SO YOU, ONE DAY
WILL STAND AT THE BIG WHITE GATE AND BE INVITED IN FOR ETERNITY

You are a wonderful friend....
You're doing the best possible thing in praying for her, and encouraging others to do likewise.

The kindest thing you can do is support the family in *whatever decisions* they make. Just listen, listen, listen and love, love, love. Don't give advice, don't weigh in with "what someone told you, or what you read on the internet, etc", just hold their hand and keep on praying.

I am so glad to know that a family going through this has the Great Physician at hand, as well as a church family.

Father God - for this dear child, we lift up our requests to You - for ONLY YOU can help her, Father God. I ask for Gwen that she be healed completely in Jesus' name that the Father may be glorified in the Son!

The family is against a trach?? Do they want her to suffer more and die quicker??? And if so, you have to wonder why. The trach will defintely help her to breathe more easily, greatly improve her quality of life, and there is little to no danger of infection with modern medical techniques!! Listen to the doctor. What are they thinking?????
