If so, why do you have that desire?

Mr. G:

I don't believe that books like the BOM, D&C and PGP are anti-Mormon material. And neither are the writings of your apostles and prophets. I am asking questions to fully understand the specifics of your beliefs. This forum does not allow discussion.

Constantly changing doctrine must be difficult for the faithful Mormons. It certainly puts into question the veracity of teaching when what one is taught may be forbidden later. It makes it difficult to know what to believe, don't you think?

Oh please, when I was a mormon, my dad thought he was already a deity or demi-God, my mom was so sexist towards me and made me her personal assisstant, if not her cinderella, my ward were all a bunch of snot nose demi-gods and goddesses, but I felt sorry for them, they were so paranoid of everything that wasn't mormon, they took the becoming a God to extremes.

This seems like a loaded question. I'll answer it anyway assuming your intentions were good.
Seems like you are trying to get mormon men to admit that they are narcissistic and hope to be worshiped someday to satisfy their vanity.
I believe this is a common misconseption about the desire to become like God. God is an all perfect being and requires we worship Him. Does this mean he is vain? Of course not. We must understand God does not need our worship. That is not why he wants us to do it. We need the worship. To progress and become more like Him and keep His commandments we need to worship him. We need to stay close to him for our own benefit. If we are not worshiping him we are following the adversary.
As a celestial being, I would do whatever I could to keep those under my stewardship on a rightous path.

We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!

It was taught as doctrine in the early days of the church that God was once a mortal, passed the test, and became a God, and so can we!

However, recently the church has changed that doctrine.

I've often wondered why a tangible homo-sapiens type heavenly being would demand 'worship' of some sort: singing songs all about how wonderful he is, praying to him to change reality just for them, doing all sorts of meaningless and silly movements, and reading nearly incomprehensible books, few of which support each other.

Then I wondered why some people like being 'managers'. They like making people do things for the sheer hell of it.

Yawn....worship? Get your out of the anti mormon books and try mormonism.

We aren't worshipped like God. We will be joint heirs with Christ.

Starship....We aren't Gods or joint heirs with Christ now.
We aren't human beings. I'm sorry you feel that way for your parents and your ward.

No. I will always worship God the Father and his only begotten son Jesus Christ who is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind.
