I had the same problem with my piercing. I just took it out. It meant more to me to be with my kids without thinking about the risk of it getting ripped out. Hope this helps.

Well I don't have kids, so I can't say that I know exactly how you feel, but the tenderness shouldn't last too long if you think you could hold it out. I had mine pierced a while back, but mine is out now. At one point, I was told by the business that pierced it to put a small, thin bandaid over the middle of it, (not where the holes are), to keep it from wiggling around too much. But this may be too soon for you, cause I can't remember how long I waited to do that, but that might help it from hurting as bad, and it could be a question to ask the person who pierced it. Otherwise, you don't want it to get hit too much cause it may get infected so be careful. I hope this helps some.

SORRY but I am just going to say it like I see it, that was just a BAD decision. If your husband was out of town you shouldn't have been out getting your belly button pierced in the first place.

hi i'm a physique piercer. i does not advise swimming for the 1st 2 weeks. Nor might i decide to advise wearing a good setting up swim in nice condition over the piercing till finally this is completely healed. this is via the fact the chlorine interior the water will sting the clean piercing and you ought to infect it with the water. it is going to take around 6 weeks to completely heal. And the redness and discomfort is honestly customary

No matter what, when you get your navel pierced...someone is going to hit it. You actually don't realize how often that area is hit or touched until you get it pierced. Keep it pierced if you like it. The pain will go away. Just be careful. Taking it out could infect the area.

Take it out. You have to have the proper environment for a piercing to heal properly. Otherwise it may reject, or scar significantly. Pierce it again when your kids are a bit older and you can look after it right.
Navels are tough to heal (I'd know!). You have to give them the best chance possible. If you take it out now, the scar will barely show. If you wait, it could be much worse.

I guess seeing since you felt it was so vital to have it in the first place I would put Neosporin on it....The kids don't have to be held when ever they demand it... I'd give it a couple more days, make sure it doesn't get infected and I would think it would begin to feel better....

Just take it out and let the hole grow back in..
I have lots of siblings and I know how troublesome it can be getting areas pierced. Someway or another they will eventually pull it out!

Remove them and leave them out, they are going to get infected and is highly discouraged by physicians.
