You need a passport. They should have an office on base to help you get a passport but if not you can go to any post office with a certified copy of your birth certificate and a valid picture ID. You can get a rush on the passport but I can't remember exactly how fast a rush is. It also costs a lot more for a rush processing. It will probably cost you about $150 all together and you have to pay with cash or check only, not credit cards. Get as much help from your husbands command that you can. Good luck.

with the way things are now your going to need a passport so its best to apply for one many months in advance if possible (there is a backlog right now at the passport offices) mind you i know if your travelling to canada or i think any where in mexico up until sept they arent going to require one because of the backlog.....but your best to go ahead and get a passport
you might be able to go through the military and they can help you get a passport quicker then if you do it through the post office or passport office but you may have ot pay a little extra

You need passport if it's outside the US. Not even military personnel can travel out of the state without a passport.

You do need a passport. However, I think if you go on a MAX flight you only need your ID. I would get a passport anyway just to be safe. You can get one in a few days if you pay extra for one.

Yes, you'll certainly need a passport.
If your husband has been wounded while on active duty you might be able to get help expediting the passport through his command. They may even be able to help with the cost. Contact them and find out what you need to do.
I truly wish you the best of luck and I hope your husband pulls through safely.

I do not know if the law has changed but when my wife joined me in Korea in 1970 and Germany in 1970, she was required to get a passport.

you need a passport. they are taking 12 weeks to process, about half that if you spend the money to have them expidited.
IF you can get an appointment with one of the few centers that do them in person, you might be able toget one in a day or two.

If your husband is injured they should have a flight ready for you to go and see him,no passport no run around, they should be taking care of all of that.
