These people arent true Christians. I am a strong christian whom doesnt do that stuff, nor would ever. Everybody in different religions are rude. If you say that ur religion is all nice ppl, that is hyprocrisy.
What are your thoughts Christians...would you ever lash out on a nonchristian, and say hateful things?

You say all religions are rude. I say that is SOME people of all religions are rude.
Too me being a Christian is about growing closer to God and that is not a journey but a destination. Some people are not as far on that journey as others. (Lord Knows I do have moments where I am not as far along on that journey as I would like.!) The wonderful thing is Jesus always provides a lesson to help us move on. Reality is as some of begin to think our choice to be a Christian gives us the right to judge others. God generally finds a way to show us a different way.
The old saying is so true. You attract more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. I think that trying to model the loving, forgiving nature of Jesus (and I emphasize the word Try) is much more useful than condemening and judging those we believe are not far enough along in ther struggle to get closer to God. I say again, its a journey not a destination.
God bless

I've gotten my fair share of hate mail from atheists, just as they've gotten their share from other Christians. I don't like getting blasted by someone else for my beliefs, so I don't do it to others, especially not in an email. I can be pretty forceful when the situation warrants, but being verbally abusive is over the top and unacceptable.
If I have something to say to you, I'll say it publically so that everyone can see it. That way, there won't be any doubt as to what was said or done. And that's why my email is closed now: nobody can say one thing privately to me while pretending to be something else in public.

I wish more people were like that, because this hatred that these people comes out in multiple places, not just Answers, or even the Internet in general. The world could use more people who are firm in their belief, but accepting of opposing viewpoints.
As a non-Christian, I have lashed out on people claiming to be Christian, and people who've never made the claim - Bigotry is bigotry, no matter which group the bigot claims to belong to, whether it be Christians, Atheists, Muslims, or even Buddhists (I've never seen a bigoted Buddhist, but I'm sure they exist).

I kinda addressed this earlier when an atheist asked if a christian could teach him something new (as in new to his knowledge) about our religion but not to expect to convert him and most of these "Christians" replied with you made your choice its pointless or it seems like a waste of time etc. They were very rude. Its no wonder atheists and other religions feel the way they do about us. I just hope that everyone realizes that there are good christians!

I am a Christian and have learned that there are wolves in sheeps clothing on this site. I had one guy who puts out that he is a Christian, who picked me as best answer for one of his questions. He then sent me an e-mail which was sick and cruel and definitely not Christian. I mean really cruel. My husband died not long ago and he told me he was glad and that he hated Christian marriages. I have worded it mildly in comparison to what he said. The next question he posted, he talked of himself being like a baby lamb with God!

Religion doesn't define a person. If somebody needs lashed out at, I'm probably going to be the first to open up my big mouth.

I wouldn't lash out. This is the quickest way to turn someone off to the Christian faith. As we are to Live what we "preach". Our actions speak louder than words.
