you can...but if you have a credit card and have kept it current...why not go to the bank and get a loan...much less in interest...you will pay heavily for the credit card loan...and the bank will give you a payment book with a schedueled payment and a pay off date...the credit card company will give you a minimum payment to make...and if you make that minimum payment...you will pay a long time on that car.

Ok buy that pile of junk for 1,500 at 21 percent interest and pay the minium amount on principal in 5 years that is $1575 dollars interest making that car even a bigger piece $3,075 of junk. Credit can be used right or wrong it is up to you. Pay every bill in full each month pay no interest and credit card companys will rase your credit limit like me Bank of america and other cards in my wallet I have a huge credit line. But I keep paying each in full each month. I work to hard for some accountant to take 21% of my cash away. Save a down payment keep current on all bills. Buy something nice youreally want.

If you have that high of a credit limit, and don't mind paying the interest rate, sure. As to how long it will last, that depends on the current shape and your maintenance. You will have your mechanic check it out first, right?

You can get a cash advance at your bank. I'd go for $2000, tax, title, and a few tools.
